Our story

From the workshop floor to running the training centre

Mlangeni Mechanical Engineering (MM Engineering) was founded in 2015 by a young, ambitious black South African woman from a disadvantaged background. Her wealth of experience in mechanical engineering and related fields across diverse industry sectors has driven the company's growth to its current successful levels.

Her experience covers the commissioning, diagnostics, modification and repair of heavy-duty machinery and equipment — both mechanically and electronically — on trucks, buses, commercial and light vehicles, gen-sets and more. That experience led her to equip other disadvantaged South Africans with training in mechanical and auto electrical work, targeting new trainees, matriculants and semi-skilled candidates looking to become qualified artisans.

MME also caters for qualified artisans on refresher courses, keeping them up to date with changing technology.

"Management is confident that the company will produce a talented workforce that adheres to sound business practices, and remains firmly committed to our customers."
